FULL MEDICAL HISTORY
First, we take a full history. Musculoskeletal issues can be complex & it’s important we have a good sense of all contributing factors so we can choose, together, where best to begin.
ORTHO & NEURO TESTS
Along with your history, appropriate orthopaedic & neurologic tests can help us to identify whether your condition may require further investigation (imaging) or referral to another medical specialist.
MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT
We assess which movements or positions you find easy or difficult to perform. Movement limitation or pain give vital clues to where the underlying problem may be.
TREATMENT PLAN
Once we have an idea of what’s happening, we develop a care plan with you based on your symptoms and goals, our findings, & your preferences
TREATMENT OPTIONS
Your care plan could involve hands on manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, dry-needling, education, load-management strategies, coping strategies, or referrals out to colleagues for co-management.
